Consulting assignment – H&M

System Owner, Business Analyst & Project Lead

In the role as System Owner for a new online platform, within Finance & Payments department, the work was to ensure the development and improvement of the new online platform from a finance business perspective. Included work with reporting and following up incidents and problems.

In the role as Business Analyst in combination of being Business Expert for the new online platform the work consisted of capturing the needs and demands from stakeholders such as Subject Matter Experts, Product Owners and other key stakeholders to provide solutions.

Acting Project Leader for the transition of markets from old online platform to new online platform from a Finance Payments perspective. Included securing the business requirements were captured and documented as user stories and followed up during testing. Worked in close cooperation with key stakeholders as well as external suppliers.

During the assignment several markets were transitioned with success.

Developing a process for documentation and handling of documents. Included analysis of current situation for the IT operations department as well as creating proposal for process, working methods and structure on the decided new solution Microsoft Sharepoint.

An initial support was given by migrating existing documents from previous sources to the new solution.

The work required very good communication skills in both writing and speaking English and social skills to work with individuals from technology teams to managerial positions.

The role involved ownership and administrative responsibility of applications within BSM (Business Service Management).

The tasks and responsibilities consisted of prioritizing, developing and improving according to requirements from the business. The role required the ability to understand and analyze needs from end users and businesses as well to translate and communicate the needs of technology groups and development groups to develop solutions.
